When you're

using MapQuest

to

create a custom map

, it's good to know that you can

add multiple stops

to your route. Once a route is created, you can click Add Another Stop to

add more stops

, and you can choose to have your route

avoid highways and tolls

, as well as seasonal roads and more.

- You can create multiple stops when getting directions on MapQuest and customize a map that you can print to take with you.

- Enter in your starting point and then click on Get Directions, then enter in the address or general area of your next stop.

- Click on Add Another Stop and enter in the next location.

- After you add all of your stops you can add notes to all of them and search for nearby locations.

- You can also choose to avoid highways, seasonal roads, ferries, tolls and country borders, as well as roads that are closed at certain times of day.

- Once you've created your directions, you can share it with the link at the top of the page or share it via email, text, Facebook or Twitter.

- You can hide certain roads in the printed map and choose to show smaller maps within your directions.

- You can also add general notes up at the top of the page.
