Within Google Maps, you have access to tools that

make it easier to plan your route

. You can

find cheap gas

on your way, measure the distance between two points, and even check the weather conditions for your drive.

- There are different tools you can add to your map that may help you plan your vacation better.

- Click on 'my maps' and then browse the directory.

- Here, you'll find tools like a measurement tool that measures out the distance between two locations, a weather tool to view current conditions along your journey, and even gas prices.

- Add as many or as few tools as you like to your map.

- If at any time you wish to remove an item from view on your map, just uncheck the box next to the tool you wish to remove in your maps settings.
