While your Android phone likely comes equipped with a fairly decent camera, you may get to a point where you want to change the quality of the images that it takes. By default, it is set to maximum quality, but you can

Show Notes

- Start up your Camera application. If your phone has a dedicated camera key, you can press that or launch the app from a home screen or the app tray.

- Across the bottom of the viewfinder window, you'll see a series of small icons. Tap the right-most one to access the camera settings.

- By default, the highest quality settings will likely be selected, but unless you're printing those photos, you can afford to dial this setting down.

- Change the image size setting to whatever you think offers the best balance between file size and image quality.

- If you're still concerned about the file size of your photos, you can change the quality down from super fine to fine or normal.

- At any time, you can go back in to the camera settings to change these values or, by scrolling all the way to the bottom of the settings menu, reset your Android phone camera settings back to default.
