There are many more options to Skype beyond the basics that we have already covered. We'll go over some of the more
advanced settings in Skype
here and show you how to do things likechange notifications, allow call forwarding and voicemail, and set up hot-keys

- Click on Tools and then Options. Here, you can do things like choosing to start a call automatically after double-clicking on a contact's name, selecting how much time you can sit idle before you're shown as inactive, and changing whether Skype launches automatically when Windows starts.
- You can check the Audio Settings for available microphones or speaker setups and choose what rings.
- You can also choose to be notified with a pop-up if someone comes online, goes offline, starts a chat with you, sends you a file, etc. Just check the boxes next to whatever you want to receive notifications about.
- You can use Skype credits to allow call forwarding so that if you miss a call on Skype, it will be forwarded to the phone of your choice. You can also spend credits for the ability to receive voicemail in case you miss a call.
