Have graphics or photos you'd like to alter? Then take a good look at IrfanView. It's got all the tools most of us need. In this second part of Altering images in IrfanView, we'll look at more image editing options including converting images to black and white, turning pictures into negative images, adjusting the colors for a more pleasant (or amusing) result.

- Open IrfanView and click Image in the top menu bar.
- Click Convert to greyscale to turn your color image into black and white.
- Click Negative to turn your image into a negative.
- Click Enhance Colors to go in and adjust the levels of Red, Blue, and Green to get custom effects with colors.
- Click Auto Adjust Colors to have the program fine tune the color of your image.
- Click Sharpen to smooth out pixels. This is especially handy after resizing an image.
- Click red-eye reduction to remove red-eye from photos.
- Click Swap Colors to alter your images in strange and sometimes beautiful but always interesting ways.
- Click Palette to change or import new color palettes.
