Assigning attributes to your notes

Every note in your

Evernote notebooks

has attributes. These can be added to, altered, and searched for. It's yet another way for you to quickly and easily

find your notes

in Evernote.

- Open Evernote on your Desktop.

- Click on a Note and then click the Attributes button on the toolbar.

- You can modify the title.

- You can alter which notebook the note appears in.

- Attributes is a great place to change or add to Tags. Since many clips are made on-the-fly you can go in here and add to the Tags.

- You can indicate an author if you wish.

- In the Clipped from field you can put the URL where you obtained a clip.

- Under Date and Time you can go in and alter the creation data. This is handy, for example, if you want to have all the notes in one batch have the same creation date even though they weren't created on the same date.

- If you wish you can put in Latitude, Longitude, and even altitude.

- Check the box to have changes automatically saved.
