Show Notes

- You can get a 14-day trial of Tasker in the Android Market.

- Tasker lets you create tasks that can accomplish a wide range of functions and they can be simple or complex.

- You can base tasks on applications, day, time, events, state and more.

- You can also download predefined tasks from the Tasker Wiki direct from the program.

- Just tap on the Menu key then tap on Browse Profiles and you'll be on the site.

- At the top of each described task is a download link that will download the task to your phone.

- In our example, we showed how you could create a task based on the orientation of the phone, in this case, Face Down.

- When the phone is turned face down the volume shuts off, the screen dims, the ringer is muted and so on.

- When the phone is turned face up, all those things are reversed.

- Tasker can be used to create an unlimited number of useful routines.
