Show Notes
- When creating a profile for an online dating site, try to remember these
- Expectations: Never assume that the person you see on an online dating site is telling the absolute truth. Just because they say they have a certain career or relationship habits (or just because they say they're single) doesn't make it true.
- Signing up for only a one month subscription: A lot of dating sites offer a free account for one month, and a lot of people cancel after the free trial is over if they haven't met a match. Don't expect to fall in love over night; give it time. Some sites, like Match.com, offer money back after a specific length of time has gone by so it may be in your best interest to be patient.
- Not including a photo and putting little effort into your profile: If you want to see what the other person looks like before connecting with them, then you should follow the same rule. Make sure you put your photo up and make sure it's current. Also, be interesting in your profile and answer as many questions about your likes, dislikes, and habits as you feel comfortable.
- Giving up on online dating: If it's been two weeks and you haven't had any hits on your profile, don't worry. Instead, try changing some things up on your profile and adding more information.
