The reason you decided to step up to the iPhone 3G probably has something to do with its extensive music and video playing capabilities. While the iPhone is a great phone and an excellent connected internet device, it also leverages Apple's impressive legacy in digital audio players and brings all of the iPod features to your phone. Anything that requires us to carry one less device is OK by us.

- Launch the iPod app by tapping the iPod shortcut on the iPhone 3G. By default, this icon is in your iPhone dock.
- Sort music to create playlists using the bottom icons.
- Adjust the volume with the slider on the touch screen.
- Skip forward or back using the appropriate soft buttons.
- The iPod will play through the internal speaker if no headset is inserted.
- Insert your iPod headset for a better (and less annoying for your fellow commuters) listening experience.
- Any video on your device (downloaded movies and TV shows, podcasts etc.) will appear under the video icon.
- Sort music to create playlists using the bottom icons.
