Show Notes

- Once your Blu-ray drive and software are both installed, you should be ready to burn your first Blu-ray disc.

- First, insert a blank Blu-ray disc into your Blu-ray drive. Your computer should show you a message asking what you want to do with the disc.

- The Cyberlink software we installed gives us the option to drag files to the disc and burn using the Burn to disc option at the top of the folder window.

- You can also manually open your burning software and use that to burn the disc the way you want.

- In the case of MediaSuite, we choose the Data & Backup option, then select Make a Data Disc. We then select BD for Blu-ray disc.

- Remember that if you're using a standard Blu-ray disc, you'll have about 25 GB to work with but, if your drive supports it, a dual-layer disc can store about 50 GB of data.

- A gauge at the bottom shows you how much space you have to work with. Once your files are all in place, just select Burn now.

- You can also create a Blu-ray movie disc in MediaSuite by going to Video from the main screen and selecting Create a Video Disc, then selecting BD. Blu-ray discs burned in this way can be viewed from standard Blu-ray players attached to your television.
