There are times when you want or need to take a capture of your screen. SnagIt, by Techsmith, is one of best ways to do it.

- Open SnagIt and select the Region option.
- Move the mouse to the area where you want to start your capture and hold down the left mouse button.
- Holding the mouse button down, drag the cursor until you've captured the area you want, then let go of the mouse button.
- Click the SnagIt logo and select Save As.
- Give the file a name of your choosing or go with the default that uses the date and time.
