Changing the icons of the folders and shortcuts you use often is an easy way to customize, personalize and update the look of your desktop.

To change folder icons, follow these steps:
- Right click on the folder and choose properties.
- Click the Customize tab and click the button on the bottom that says Change Icon.
- Browse the the location of the replacement icon and Click OK.
- Click Apply or OK to close out of the window.
To change shortcut icons, follow these steps:
- Right-click on the shortcut and choose properties.
- Under the Shortcut tab, go to the bottom and click the Change Icon button.
- Browse to the icon file, hit OK
- Click Apply or OK to close out of the window.
