Whether you want to change the way shortcut icons appear on your desktop or you want to change the appearance of a particular folder on your PC, changing the icon associated with that file or folder is a great way to customize your PC.

- Navigate to the shortcut you'd like to change, right-click on it and select Properties from the context menu that appears.
- In the window that appears, click on Change Icon...
- A window appears with some icon options to choose from.
- If you've downloaded icon files you'd like to use on your PC you can click Browse and navigate to the folder that contains your icons.
- Click OK and your changes will be applied.
