If you own a
flat-panel iMac
, then unfortunately there isn't a whole lot you can do tocustomize your computer

While much of the hardware is hard to get at for most people, upgrading the RAM is fairly easy to do.First, gently place the iMac screen down onto a soft, flat surface, preferably one that is free of static. sticks of RAM
can be removed by gently pulling the pull tab and sliding out the RAM. Now, you can install new RAM or replace the RAM sticks, the just replace the panel and tighten the screw to finish.
