The basic Gmail inbox interface is simple and effective. However, by digging into the settings a little way, you can find a skin for your inbox that better suits your personality. Select a different colour scheme or opt for a completely different look with picture / character themes.

- Click on Settings and select the link for Themes.

- Click on the different theme options to see how it's going to look on the Gmail interface.
