Introducing Google+

Thursday July 28, 2011
Google+ has some interesting options for

sharing posts and media

with your Google+ contacts. For one, you can easily share things with members of one particular circle. For another, you can just as easily disable commenting and resharing. Another great

feature of Google+

is the ability to create your own hangout to

video chat

with multiple friends or colleagues.

Show Notes

- When you're on your main page of Google+, you can select a circle (or numerous circles) that you want to share with from the list to the left.

- You can tell they're selected by the red color of the circle and the circle's name. On the right, you can see the people who are in that circle.

- When you select a particular circle, you'll see posts from that circle down the center of the page. You can either comment, share, or similar to a like button, +1 each post.

- Below your circles, you can also sign into or out of chat.

- On the right, you can start a hangout. Hangouts allow you to have a video chat with up to 10 people, so long as you have a webcam. You may also need to install the plugin for Google Voice and Video.
