- There are certain terms that you'll probably come across when connecting with people through online dating. Here are some of the most common:
- IM = Instant message. This usually means the person is available to chat through an instant messaging service.
- IMHO = In my honest or humble opinion
- IMO = In my opinion
- IRL = In real life
- LD = Light drinker
- HD = Heavy drinker
- LDR = Long distance relationship
- LTR = Long term relationship
- NSA = No strings attached
- PM = Private message, which usually is used in chatrooms if someone wants to send you a private message.
- SI = Similar interests
- TDK = Tall dark and hansome
- THX = Thanks!
- WTR = Willing to relocate
- TTYL = Talk to you later
- GTG = Got to go
