In an earlier segment we talked about how you could make Adium look the way you want it to by modifying colors and the like. The Xtras Manager, however, helps you to take Adium to a new level of customization. Nearly every aspect of Adium can be customized and altered to be just the way you want.

Download Adium for the Mac and follow along with this tutorial series
- Open Adium.
- Click on Adium, then Xtras Manager.
- The Xtras Manager shows you what Xtras you have available.
- To get Xtras click on Get More Xtras.
- You're taken to the Web site where you can download a huge selection of Xtras for Adium.
- You can change, configure, and have fun with every aspect of the program.
- While you see the Xtras you have in the Xtras Manager, you have to apply them from Preferences and Appearance.
- Click on the items you want to change, like your dock icon and you'll immediately see the change.
- Have fun with the Xtras Manager and enjoy Adium.
