Some people think that virtual machines running on a Mac have to be clunky. Not so with Parallels Desktop for Mac. It's offers a huge number of configurable options. Everything from boot order to USB usage is covered. You can make each virtual machine work the way you want.

- Download Parallels Desktop for Mac here.
- Install it on your Mac and double-click on the program icon.
- When you've created a virtual machine open it up and click on the wrench icons for the Configuration options.
- Parallels Desktop for Mac offers a wide range of configurable options.
- You can actually configure boot order just as you would with a physical machine.
- You can configure both startup and shutdown options.
- You can optimize it for the virtual machine or for the Mac, which is a nice option.
- Services and shared folders can be configured.
