Ubuntu makes it easy to

alter the way it is displayed on your monitor

. You can

increase or decrease the screen resolution in Ubuntu

to get the best picture. You can also

set up multiple monitors in Ubuntu

and more.

Show Notes

- In Ubuntu click on System and then on Preferences. Then click on Display.

- Ubuntu will name your display if it knows what it is, but otherwise it will say "Unknown."

- You can click Detect Monitors to have it detect multiple monitors.

- If you wish you can click Mirror Screens to have the screens mirror themselves.

- If you click Resolution you see a listing of all the resolutions your system supports.

- You can pick from the list and quickly change from a higher resolution to a lower one and go back again.

- You can adjust the refresh rate but this isn't recommended.

- When you're done making changes click Apply.

- If you like your changes click Keep This Configuration.

- If not click Restore Previous Configuration.

- Close out and you're done.
