Here, we show you how to set up your

AppleTV's network configuration

, which you'll need to do to

stream your media

. The simplest way is to use an Ethernet cable to physically connect your device, but

connecting your AppleTV wirelessly

to your

home network

is just as easy. We'll show you how to connect both ways in this tutorial.

Show Notes

- First, go to Settings and go to General.

- Scroll down until you get to Network. Select Configure Wi-Fi to add your AppleTV to your wireless network.

- The device will search for any networks in your area. Select the one you want to connect to.

- If the network is password protected, then you'll need to enter a password to connect.

- Your AppleTV device will tell you that is connecting and then inform you whether it has succeeded or not. Once it succeeds, you'll be connected to the network.

- Once the device is connected, you should see network information at the lower-right side and, if you want, you'll be able to then select either Configure TCP/IP or Test Network.

- If you'd prefer to use a wired connection, simply connect your AppleTV with your modem or router via Ethernet cable and it should connect automatically.
