Show Notes
- You can connect a stereo Bluetooth headset to any Bluetooth enabled computer, but it's probably most likely that you'd connect one to a more portable device.
- In this episode, we'll show you how to connect a stereo Bluetooth headset to an iPad.
- One of the newer Bluetooth specifications is A2DP which stands for Advanced Audio Distribution Profile and allows for high-quality stereo streaming.
- Headsets with high-quality stereo streaming are much better for listening to music than traditional low-quality one ear earpieces.
- Another benefit to stereo headsets is that many have audio controls for track changing on them, as well as a microphone and answer button for phone calls.
- The first step to connecting your device is by opening the Bluetooth control panel.
- You'll see a list of all devices that are connected or have been connected. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
- Now set your headset to pairing mode by consulting your manual and following the instructions.
- Once the device is ready to pair, your computer should detect the device. Click on the device and select Pair.
- Once paired, you should be able to hear the audio from your computer on your headset.
- Be aware that not all computers support all of the track controls.
