Show Notes

The

BlackBerry PlayBook

has an micro-HDMI port built right into the bottom of the device. This makes it easy to connect to external displays. Of course, you'll need to have an HDMI cable that has a micro-HDMI adapter at one end and a standard HDMI connector at the other. In this video, we used this Hip Street Universal Micro HDMI to HDMI cable.

To start, plug the micro-HDMI end into the PlayBook and the other end into the HDMI port on your display. You may want to change some of the settings here, so go into your PlayBook's settings and tap on HDMI. To start, you'll want to turn on mirror mode if it isn't on already. You'll also be able to change the aspect ratio if you'd like or change the display mode. Lastly, you can turn off HDMI audio so that the PlayBook's audio doesn't go through to the display.
