- While you don't need to enable Wi-Fi to read books on your Kindle you will need a network connection to get more books online.
- First go to the home screen and click on the menu button.
- You'll see an option that says Turn Wireless On. Select that.
- If you haven't set up a wireless network yet then you will need to do so before you can connect.
- Hit menu and go to Settings. Scroll down to Wi-Fi settings and select that.
- The device will now search for networks. Find the one you're looking for and select it.
- If the Wi-Fi network that you want to join is password protected then you'll need to enter a password.
- If your Wi-Fi network is hidden or not visible then you'll need to hit the button that says enter other Wi-Fi network and manually enter the details.
