how to connect a Bluetooth device
to your cell phone. We demonstrateusing a Jawbone headset
but the same method will usually apply whenpairing devices with your phone

- In this episode we'll show you how to connect a Bluetooth device to your phone.
- To start you will need to pair the device to your cell phone.
- First, both your device and your phone must be discoverable so that they can see each other.
- Go into your phone's menu system, find Bluetooth and make sure you turn it on.
- Now make sure your device is also discoverable. Some devices have a connect button on them that must be held down for a specified time.
- There are a growing number of devices that allow you to pair them using your voice. You can say "pair me" and you will be connected.
- Once the phone detects your Bluetooth device you should see it in your phone's list.
- Some devices will require a PIN for activation, which is often 0000. Check your manual if you have problems.
- Pairing should resume even if the devices are moved out of range of each other.
