Show Notes

Unlike other BlackBerry devices or tablets out there, the BlackBerry PlayBook has no cellular connection built-in. This means that you'll only be able to connect to the Internet using either a Wi-Fi or a tethered connection. In this episode, we'll be showing you how to

connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi

.

From the main screen, tap on the settings icon which is shaped like a cog. Tap Wi-Fi on the sidebar. If Wi-Fi is currently turned off, then you'll want to start by turning it on. You'll see a list of Wi-Fi addresses pop up and these can be sorted by Saved Networks, Open Networks or Available Networks to view all networks available.

Now, select the network that you want to connect to. If the network has WPS, then you can use that option to connect to your network. Just press the WPS button on your router to start connecting. If you don't have access to the router or don't want to use WPS, then you can connect by entering the password for that Wi-Fi network.

Once you enter the password correctly, you should be connected after which point, you'll be able to

browse the Internet

,

download apps

and more.
