- You can download TrueCrypt here.

- With TrueCrypt running, click on Create Volume.

- Select Create an encrypted file container and click Next.

- For a non-hidden volume, leave the default Standard TrueCrypt volume selected and click Next.

- On the Volume Location screen, click on Select File and navigate to the folder you'd like to create as an encrypted volume.

NOTE: You cannot encrypt an existing folder! Read the WARNING message on the Volume Location screen for details.

- Leave the default Encryption Options in place and click Next. The defaults will be fine for most users.

- Set a volume size in either KB, MB or GB and click next. We suggest 1GB to start.

- Create a strong password you're sure you'll remember. We do not recommend storing it in the keyfiles.

- Leave the default filesystem (FAT) selected and click next.

- Click on Format to begin preparing your new encrypted volume.
