In an earlier tutorial we showed you how to create a Smart Playlist in iTunes. That works really well to give you a playlist that's always changing. But I think we can do that one better by having a playlist that always has you listening to something new.

Show Notes

- In iTunes highlight one of your Smart Playlists.

- Click File and then Edit Smart Playlist.

- When the dialog opens you can see the criteria you used to create the Smart Playlist.

- Now, the big change. Click the + sign for one more rule and make the criteria Last Played is not in the last 1 weeks, or months. Now click OK.

- You now have a Playlist that will change as you add and remove music from your library AND it won't play songs you just listened to last week or in the last 2 weeks or whatever you decided. Yes, a smarter, Smart Playlist!
