Now that you've found your friends online, it's time to get a full Facebook profile online. Here, you can update your interests, musical taste, favourite books and movies, even political and religious leanings. Then, decide how much of this information you want displayed publicly and how much you want your network of friends to see.

- After you've logged into your Facebook profile you can change your profile information.

- Click edit information

- You can set birthday, hometown, relationship status, and more. But note that none of this is mandatory to use the system.

- You can also add your interests, activities, favorite books music and movies.

- Contact info will let people know how to get in touch with you. You can add screen names for various chat programs, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, and more.

- The lock icon next to each piece of information allows you to set who can and cannot see this information. You can set it so that only friends can see specific pieces of information.

- Education section allows you to share the college and high-school you attended and what year you were there. You can also add your employers name and job title as well as years of service.

- To add a profile picture you can use your webcam or you can upload a picture.

- These steps help old friends find you on the service.

- Remember though the information you put up is voluntary and not needed to use the service.
