Show Notes

- First Download
and install GreaseMonkey
.

- Once GreaseMonkey is installed you need to Download and install the Folders4Gmail Script, which runs in GreaseMonkey.

- To get the hierarchy you'll need to rename labels in Gmail.

- Take the label that you want to be at the top of the hierarchy and make it first in the renaming process.

- So, in our example we had labels Butterscotch, Greg, Stacy, and Ted.

- To put the others under Butterscotch we need to rename the labels by having Butterscotch first, followed by a forward slash /, and then the label we want below, like Greg.

- Example: Butterscotch/Greg, Butterscotch/Stacy, Butterscotch/Ted.

- Go back to the Inbox and you'll see that your primary label, in this case Butterscotch, has a + sign next to it.

- Click the + and you'll see the other beneath it in a hierarchy structure.
