- Sign into your account at Netflix.com. If you don't have an account, you can register for one for free.

- When you first create your Netflix account, the service will try to get a feel for what kinds of movies you like so it can give you recommendations.

- You'll see your recently watched movies to the right and at the top, you'll see tabs for Watch Instantly, Browse DVDs, Your Queue and Movies You'll Love.

- The basic $8.99 package allows you to rent one movie at a time. When that movie is returned you'll get the next item on your Netflix list, called your queue.

- Watch Instantly allows you to stream movies straight to your television.
