One Tuesday per month, Microsoft releases patches for its software products -- Windows, Office etc.. Appropriately, this day is deemed "patch Tuesday." Yesterday's patch release saw a critical patch released for Windows that fixes a security flaw. - Open Internet Explorer.
- Click Tools then Windows Update.
- The Windows Update site will open and check to see what updates you
need.
- When the update screen appears, click Express Install.
- Click Install Updates.
- The update will start to install and will then minimize to the system
tray.
- Once the update is completed the system will need to reboot.
