- To update your profile, click on Personalize and then on Edit your profile.

- You can add your location, language, gender, birthday, the URL to your own blog or website or create an About me section.

- You can also add more phone numbers where people can reach you at home, work or on your mobile. This is only visible to your approved Skype contacts.

. Either select one from from the Skype gallery, take a snapshot with your webcam or simply select one from your computer. Make sure you click on Apply after you select an image.

- If you use Facebook then you'll probably know what a status update is. Skype has them too: just enter in what you're currently up to at the moment and other Skype users will see it.

- You can also add a video that matches your mood. Just click on the video icon and you can add a message to go along with it.

- If you happen to use MySpace then you can connect your Skype profile to your MySpace profile. Just enter in your MySpace username and password.
