Dealing with documents in Gmail

As you progress in your use of Gmail you're going to want to integrate more than just email. You can use a handy Google Labs function to put Google Documents just a click away right from your Gmail interface. This makes using Gmail even more handy and convenient.

- Open Gmail in your Web browser.

- Click on Settings and then click on Labs.

- Scroll down until you find the

Google Labs

feature Create a document.

- This Labs feature will let you create a Google document right from an email.

- If you use keyboard shortcuts you can create a document by pressing 'g' and then 'w'.

- Enable this feature if desired.

- Scroll down a bit further and find Google Docs gadget.

- This will put a box in the left column that will display your Google Documents.

- You can search from here and quickly open any document.
