Defragmenting your computer is important to the well being of your PC. Just by using your hard drive the file system gets "fragmented." Adding file, removing files, there's just no way to avoid it. When your drive is fragmented it slows down your PC and makes your hard drive work harder. So, defragmenting is a way to clean up the mess so your drive can work a little easier. Uniblue's DiskRescue does a great job of defragmenting and keeping your performance where it should be.
