Google Earth
lets you configure the look and feel of the program in a number of ways. Through the use of "layers" you can determine what you see and what remains hidden. This is handy if you're looking for something specific or ifGoogle Maps runs slowly

- Get Google Earth.
- You determine what things you see by turning layers off and on.
- Click Roads to see all highways and roads.
- If you check Weather you see temperatures for regions around the world.
- Turn on Borders to see the land and water border of states and countries.
- If you wish you can turn on Traffic to see the level of traffic on roads.
- Some items have sub-levels that you can configure.
- For example, under Weather you can decide if you want to see Radar, track hurricanes and so on.
- When you no longer want or need certain information you can simply uncheck that layer and you'll no longer see it.
