Now that we've whetted our appetite for meaningful numbers in the AdWords reporting center, it's time to drill down further and get into the
Google AdWords Placement Performance tools
. Here, we cancreate Google AdWords briefs for clients
, get data for presentations and generally see how our ads are doing, what kind of traffic they're driving and more. We can even getGoogle AdWords demographic data

- Sign into your Google Adwords account
- Click on the Reporting tab.
- Select reports.
- Create a new report.
- Select Placement Performance report.
- Scroll down.
- Select the campaign you want to view.
- Click Create Report.
- Once the information has been generated click on the report.
- If there is too much information you can remove some of it.
- Click Create report like this at the top of your generated report.
- Scroll down to the Advanced Settings.
- Click on Add or Remove Columns.
- Remove some of the unneeded columns.
- Click Create Report.
- Open up the new report.
- Sort by Click Through Rate (CTR).
- You can now see what sites are not working well for you.
- To remove these sites from your campaign go back to the main page of your Google Adwords profile.
- Select the campaign.
- Click the Networks tab.
- Scroll down to the bottom.
- Click on Exclusions.
- You can exclude sites at either an Ad group level or at a Campaign level.
- Click Add exclusions.
- Select Exclude placement.
- Type in the sites you don't want the ads to show on.
- Click save.
