Pinging someone in Google Wave

works pretty much like instant messaging except it is live so whoever you are pinging will see what you type, while you type it - even if you misspell something or delete something.

- To ping someone first click on their name from your contacts list and choose "ping." A box will pop open and you can begin typing your message.

- On their end, they'll see a green box showing that you've pinged them and they can click on the arrow to open it and see what you're sharing and reply as needed.

- Once you close a pinged conversation, it will automatically be saved in your Wave inbox, as a Wave, so you can reopen it later and continue on with the conversation.

- You can add tags to Waves by clicking on the plus sign in the lower left corner of a Wave and adding terms that will help you find it again later.

- You can search for tags by going to your inbox and entering the tag word into the search box. You can also enter in words that appear in any Wave into the search box and find Waves that were misplaced.
