Anyone who has taken a few photos has taken one that needed a little touching up. Fortunately you can
edit photos in Picasa
so that they come out looking their best. In this episode we show you how toapply effects to photos

- In Picasa, open a photo you want to edit and double-click on it.
- It's now in a window and on the left are all your editing options.
- There are three tabs in the editing window: Basic Fixes, Tuning and Effects.
- On the Basic Fixes tab you find things like cropping, fixing red eye and adding text to your photo.
- You can also make adjustments to the lightness of the photo or try and retouch it.
- On the Tuning tab you can adjust shadows, color temperature and more.
- On the Effects you have some neat effects like making the photo black and white or sepia tone.
- If you ever change your mind you can always undo or just click Cancel.
