- To

open the Registry editor

click Start, then Run, and type in

REGEDT32

and press Enter or click OK.

- The Registry editor opens.

- The Registry editor has two panes, left and right.

- All of the Keys are displayed on the left pane.

- All of the values are shown in the right pane.

- Under File you'll find Import and Export functions.

- Under Edit you'll find the ability to search using Find and Find Next.

- Always use the

Registry editor

with caution and care.

- At the same time you don't need to be afraid of the Registry if you are careful and take precautions.

- When you feel comfortable working with Registry you can avail yourself of a wealth of fixes and tweaks that are available on the Internet.
