Emailing your notes to Evernote
You know you can type information into Evernote. You can import information, and even use the clipper to add text, Web pages, graphics and more. Now we're going to show you how you can even use email to send and add things to your Evernote account

- Go to your
Evernote account in a browser.
- Click on Settings and scroll down Email.
- There you'll find a custom
email account
that's associated with your Evernote account.
- You can use this email address to send things directly into your Evernote account.
- In our example you can see where the text from the email came right into the Incoming Data folder.
- Keep in mind that if you just emailed information you may have to click the Sync button for it to appear.

Notebooks can be synchronized
online or hosted on just your computer, it's up to you. You can have some notebooks that are "local" and others that are kept in sync. Make as many notebooks as you need in Evernote.

Tags
are a handy tool that lets you categorize your data so you can find it quickly and easily. Give similar tags to similar items and unique tags to find one, special note.
