- Once the program is open, go to settings on the left hand side. You'll see a variety of options. Click on the General tab.

- Check Run Scan on Windows Startup if you would like your computer scanned each time it starts. There is also an option to have IntelliGuard check for potentially unwanted programs.

- You'll also see an option to change whether Smart Update notifies you of new updates. Here you can change whether the program updates itself automatically, manually or not at all.

- Under the Scan Settings tab there is an option to lower the scan priority to reduce CPU usage which may affect the speed of scanning and the speed of the computer overall.

- If you click on IntelliGuard from the main menu you will see that the trial version of Spyware Doctor with AntiVirus only allows you access to five of the ten IntelliGuard tools. The rest are shaded grey and are unavailable.

- One of those unavailable is Browser Guard, which guards attacks made to your computer through the web browser. One which is available with the trial version is Process Guard, which guards against Rootkits and hidden malware.

- In order to access all of the IntelliGuard features you need to purchase a license key which you can get by clicking the Register button on the left. From there just follow the steps in order to get your own unique key to
