Once you have your own facebook.com" target="_blank">Facebook account, it's time to find your friends online. That's what Facebook and the social networking phenomenon is all about. You can find out what your high school crush is up to now as well as seeing whether the coworker that called in sick today was actually sick or just faking it.

- Sign in to Facebook.
- On the greeting screen you should see find people you know.
- You can find friends in a few different ways:
- After a while you'll also get some friend requests. You can confirm or ignore the request.
- If you no longer want to be friends with someone you can remove them as a friend.

- Enter your e-mail address and corresponding password. Facebook will search through your contacts to see if there is anybody registered that you know. Click the check mark next to their name to add them as a friend.
- Discover People you may know is Facebook's internal system that suggests friends you may know based on the information you have submitted.
- You can search for friends through the names section.
- After a while you'll also get some friend requests. You can confirm or ignore the request.
- If you no longer want to be friends with someone you can remove them as a friend.
