On a text-heavy page, the Find feature in Firefox (plus other browsers and desktop applications) is worth its weight in gold. With this feature you can quickly scan a long document for the terms that are relevant to you. Think of it as a much more powerful version of the index you'd find in a research book.

To activate the Find feature in Firefox:

- Click on Edit in the menu bar and select Find or hit Ctrl + F (Windows) or Cmnd + F (Mac).

- In the text box that appears at the bottom of the Firefox window, enter the word or number you're looking for on the page.

- As you type, the matching words or numbers will be highlighted on the page and Firefox will jump to the first occurrence of your search term.

- Click on the Next and Previous buttons beside the Find search box to select the next or previous occurrence of the search term.

- Clicking on Highlight all will call attention to every occurrence of your search term on the page.
