You may already be following your friends, family, business associates and peers on Twitter. Now it's time to add some of the most popular Twitterers to your account to see what they're up to. Popular users run the gamut from celebrities to stock tips, limited-time deals from commercial tweeters to news bites from well-known journalists. follow Oprah on Twitter, follow Ashton Kutcher on Twitter and see what the other half is saying.

Show Notes

- Go to Find People and click on the Suggested Users tab. You'll be presented with a list of popular and potentially interesting users.

- If someone piques your interest, click on them to find out more.

- Check out the Twitterer's web site and bio to see if you may be interested.

- Pay attention to the number of followers that the user has. If he or she is following lots of people but has very few followers, they may not be a worthwhile addition to your Twitter stream.

- Have a look at their latest tweets. Are they of interest to you?

- If you're still interested, click on the Follow button underneath the user's profile pic.
