Finding great recipes online

is as simple as visiting Epicurious and hitting up its powerful site search engine. You can search by dietary needs, by prep time and by a wealth of other specifics. You can even search for recipes that use ingredients you have on hand to turn a can of beans into a gourmet feast. OK, so perhaps it's not that powerful.

- To browse for recipes on Epicurious, hover over the Recipes and Menus tab and select a category that fits the type of recipe you'd like to find.

- When you find a recipe you like, click on the title and you'll see how many servings it makes, how long it takes to prepare, and a description about the article.

- You'll see the ingredient list, preperation instructions, and you can print a shopping list to take to the store with you.

- If you're looking for something more specific, click on "advanced search" and enter in the exact terms for what type of meal you would like to cook.
