In this episode, we show you how to finalize your

Windows 7 install

. Once the

install process

is complete, you'll be prompted to

configure your computer

with your new copy of Windows. This involves entering your

product key

and following through with some other steps before you start

using Windows 7

for the first time.

- When the computer boots up from the previous restart, it will tell you that setup is preparing your computer for first use.

- You will be asked to enter a user name and a name for your computer.

- Next, you will be asked to enter a password, which is recommended.

- Hit Next and you will be prompted to enter your Windows product key. Hit Next.

- We recommend using the recommended settings for protecting your computer. Hit Next.

- Select your time zone and area, then set your computer's location if you're connected to your network.

- You will be brought to the Windows 7 desktop where you can start using your fresh install of Windows.
