can provide you with

maps and directions

. When you use Bing to provide you with directions, it will

display your route turn-by-turn

and can even be shown in a list view. Even better, it can

display traffic in your area

and show you

what shops are located nearby

- The maps area of the Bing app is useful for getting directions, checking traffic and more.

- You can tap the target in the lower-right to center the map to your current location and see what's nearby.

- Tap the arrow below the target icon for the option to Show Traffic or Show What's Nearby, which includes coffee shops, retail outlets, etc.

- In that same menu, you can select Directions to get directions to any location, including those that you've already bookmarked.

- These directions can be shown as turn-by-turn directions and can be displayed in a list view.
