emoticons

- In the Apple App Store search for "emoji" and you'll find Emoji Emoticons.
- This app costs .99 cents. If you wish to purchase it and download it.
- Once installed open up the Emoji program and tap on the three dots at the bottom of the page.
- Then tap on Help.
- Here you'll find complete directions on how to activate the emoticons.
- Tap Settings, then General, and then Keyboard.
- Under Keyboard tap on International Keyboards.
- Move down and select Japanese and make sure Emoji is turned on.
- Reboot your iPhone and you're good to go with emoticons.
- To insert them just tap the little world icon that appears next to the spacebar.
- Bear in mind that the emoticons are only visible to other iPhone users.
