Show Notes

Apps are one of the coolest things about the Boxee box. In addition to just accessing videos off of the Internet or your hard drives, you also have access to apps. These include

third-party apps

as well as premium apps like Netflix or MLB on a subscription.

From Apps, you can see all of the apps available to you and you can choose to either launch or even Favorite the application which gives you easier access later. If your app is not the latest version, Boxee will update it for you before opening the content.

Applications are organized in different ways so you'll want to get used to how they work before using them. Anyone can develop a Boxee app even if they are not immediately available through the Boxee marketplace. Others are made available through repositories. Below Apps in Repositories, you'll be asked to add a new repository. You can, for example, add dir.fuzzthed.com to add the Fuzz the Destroyer repository.

Once added, a repository will be added to your list. Highlight one to access its content. These may not be the easiest to access but the interface will vary from one repository to the other.
